Ladies Who Lunch in Luodong

A Foreigner's Guide to Eating In & Around Yilan County, Taiwan

Vegetarian Buffet near Gong Jheng Elementary

273 Gong Jheng Road, Luodong (273 公正路)

Two blocks from Gong Jheng Elementary, heading away from the train station.  Look for glass doors and wooden panels with lotuses.

(Buffet-style, so no menus!)

I am a (part-time?) vegetarian who works at Gong Jheng Elementary, and I eat at this restaurant 3 or 4 times a week.  While it can’t compare with the vegetarian buffet by the Yilan Train Station — I wouldn’t bring guests here — this all-you-can-eat buffet still offers many good options:  eggplant, curry, pumpkin, cabbage, sweet potato tempura, rice noodles.

This is a nice place to have around on those days you realize you’ve eaten nothing but bubble tea and congyoubing all week.

You didn’t get any of the pinky purpley rice that you can fill that little bowl with! It’s nothing overly exciting, but looks pretty cool, and tastes nice and healthy-grainy =)
